This problem has been since late 2015 or earlier. When i launch through the EA Beta client and not steams thin client or Origins Full install, it worked the way as described. Thanks for the guide, i had followed through with that, and it did NOT work the same way as described, given i bought through steam and steam required the thin client to launch. It had previously worked in august of 2021, in origin thin(steam purchase bought through origin but launched through origin thin client through steam), full clients(bought through origin and launched through origin full client). Note: You do not have to close Steam, but you cannot use Steam to launch the game, or you will encounter an error.
With the EA Beta running, launch the game from the newly created shortcut, and enjoy spending your ration seals. Go to the game's install folder (typically C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dead Space 3), find deadspace3, (or deadspace3.exe if you have file extensions on), right-click > Send to > Desktop (Create shortcut)Ĥ.
